Project Starfish’s mission is to provide general health care services as well as diabetic screening and treatment clinics in Southern India, with American and Indian health care professionals collaborating to sustain medical coverage in these communities.
We endeavor to:
- Provide sustainable health care for the rural populations of Southern India and screen, treat, and ultimately control diabetes in these communities
- Educate the people of these communities about leading healthier lifestyles in hopes of improving their quality of life overall — as well as the quality of life for their children
- Offer friendship and good will across cultural, social, and religious lines to foster mutual respect and understanding
- Provide a sense of empowerment to our patients as they manage their health more proactively
