A side-trip to Kerala

The Backwaters of Kerala are 900km network of waterways that fringe the coast and trickle inland. We rented a houseboat for 7 of us to tour the inlet. It really wan’t roughing it…it was very relaxing, as delicious meals were prepared for us. The most arduous task we had was eating. Add a little wine and life at that moment was perfect. There are 3000 kettuvallam in the waterways, and at high tourist season there can be gridlocks.
