First Camp, Thursday, April 23, Thadikkaran Konam, Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu, India
A village where the primary occupations are rice farmers and rubber harvesters. There has been a decline in produce due to wild monkeys who are now protected by the government after a threat of possible extinction from hunters.
Note that rural clinics are known as “camps”
